APAC HR Business Partner

The company’s future strategy is directed towards high growth. To help facilitate this growth ambition Teleplan is seeking a high profile APAC HR Business Partner reporting to Group Director HR based in the Netherlands. This position will be responsible for first class HR business partnership achieving the organic growth targets of the company.
The future tasks include but are not limited to:
- Being the Strategic HR Business Partner who develops, implements and aligns the Human Resources strategy with business strategy for all sites of operation in the region
- Being responsible for inclusion of corporate values and mission of the company
- Develop and direct all human resources matters in the region such as recruitment, retention, motivation, organization development, and succession planning
- Change Agent to head the HR initiatives and programs that transform, maximizing human capital and ensure capacity for change in the region
- Employee Champion that listen, response and provide resources to employees
- Ensure the region has access to the skills, knowledge and experience it needs to achieve its planned outcomes. This role requires championship in training and development on global scale
- Working in close collaboration with the Regional HR Services Manager on several programs to support Change and the annual HR agenda
- Provide strategic Human Resources advice, support and guidance to senior management, business units as well as to line managers to achieve business objectives and profitability as well as enhancing the organizational effectiveness.

Functional requirements and ideal experience:
- A Degree or Master in Human Resource Management or relevant disciplines from a recognized university
- Highly experienced and qualified HR professional with at least 15 years of relevant experience, preferably in a multinational environment managing multi-site / multi-cultural human resources management
- In-depth knowledge of cultural diversity especially in Singapore, Malaysia, China and Indonesia
- Strategic-minded, hands on and thrives in a fast paced and dynamic environment
- Demonstrated ability to recruit senior level employees, to deal with interpersonal conflict and performance issues
- High level of integrity and confidentiality
- Understanding of HR strategies and operational practices with retained a hands-on approach to deal with all aspects when required.
- Practical working knowledge of industrial relations, and other HR governance issues
- Proven ability to build, foster and maintain relationships at senior levels in order to drive HR strategies in line with business goals.
Base Location:
- Penang, Malaysia
- Potential extensive travel through the region required
