For the past 29 years, Teleplan has been providing a wide variety of blue chip electronic companies with hassle-free care for electronics. Established in Germany in 1983, we have grown into a global company with over 5.300 employees. Our field of expertise is defined by the "3Cs":computers, communications and consumer electronics.
The beginning of the 21st century marked a considerable change in our strategy. We initiated a shift from a regionally based, site-oriented model towards a targeted and focused model aimed at the (global) markets in the "3Cs" fields. Teleplan delivers for all 3Cs the unique concept of lifecycle care services, on a global scale. We look after all electronic devices, from the moment of purchase right through to the end of their useful life - and beyond, when we recycle them with respect and care for the planet on which we live.
Fully supported by the original manufacturers, we deliver care on all levels, wherever and whenever it is needed. With 21 locations across the globe, we always have a robust solution close at hand. Our excellence in mastering the end-to-end aspects of these processes is the key to our ability to deliver consistent value to our clients' brands and to their customers.
This strategic change has marked the beginning of a successful period for Teleplan. Not only did our customers recognize our commitment, as is shown by the 2009 Worldwide Reverse Logistics Award we received from Cisco, but our financial stakeholders were confirmed in their belief in the company when our shares made a return to a listing in the German Small Cap Index SDAX. As of 8 March 2011 AMS Acquisition B.V., an acquisition company controlled by Gilde Buy-Out Fund IV, is the company's major shareholder with a stake of more than 95%. AMS acquired its stake in Teleplan by way of a public takeover offer.
