History timeline

  • 1983

    Teleplan is born

    Teleplan was founded by two entrepreneurs, Edmund Krix and Hans Oosterwaal in a small garage near Frankfurt, Germany and opened its doors for business on 1st June 1983. The business idea being to repair television monitors quicker, better and more cheaply that the larger brands could do themselves

  • 1984

    Teleplan expands operations across Europe

    Teleplan begins a 14 year period of expansion which sees additional service centers opened across Europe and significant growth in terms of customers, technologies supported, employees and revenues

  • 1998

    Teleplan goes Dutch and public

    Teleplan becomes a Dutch company and completes its IPO listing on the ‘Neue Markt’ stock exchange in Frankfurt

  • 1999

    Teleplan goes global

    Teleplan acquires the service division of Xyratex and establishes a service presence beyond European shores to support customers in both North America and Asia Pacific regions. At the same time it extends its capabilities to include digital storage and other computing related technologies

  • 2003

    Teleplan goes mobile

    Teleplan acquires the after sales services division of KPN, the leading Dutch mobile operator laying the foundation to grow its expertise and service capabilities in mobile phones

  • 2010

    Teleplan receives public takeover bid

    In November, Gilde Buy Out Partners, a leading European private equity firm based in the Netherlands announces its voluntary public takeover offer for all shares in Teleplan

  • 2012

    Teleplan delisted

    Teleplan is delisted to become a private company with the backing of Gilde Buy Out Partners, thus providing a strong platform to help us grow with our customers

  • 2013

    Teleplan celebrates 30 years of service

    Teleplan celebrates its 30th anniversary with Teleplanners and customers at special events around the globe

  • 2015

    Teleplan launches Customer Experience Center

    Teleplan opens first Customer Experience Center offering a new way for customers, prospects and business partners to engage with and understand Teleplan better

  • 2016


    Teleplan becomes members of the CE100 (Circular Economy) the first in our industry to do this

  • 2017

    Circular Economy Experience Centre

    Teleplan launched it's Circular Economy Experience Center in Zoetermeeer, Netherlands where customers can visit and understand the CE and Teleplan's role in it

  • 2018

    Celebrating 35 years of service

    Teleplan celebrates its 35th anniversary of providing solutions to the electronics industry

  • 2018

    Expansion into South America

    Teleplan opens it's own service center in Santiago, Chile initially focussing on the CPE industry

  • 2018

    Expansion into Puerto Rico

    Teleplan opens a service center in Puerto Rico, Chile again focussing on the CPE industry

We provide after sales services in over 120 countries from strategic service centers across the world, as well as having a presence in customer stores and partner hub locations.

Teleplan has a proven track record for over 30 years of successfully transferring technology and process knowledge from one service center to another, across countries and across regions. We call this Portability. Each Portability project has an experienced project manager who co-ordinates every detail of our customers’ requirements from start to finish.
